Candle Care
Before Lighting:
- Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to at least ¼ inch. This helps prevent uneven burning, dripping, or flaring.
While Burning:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Avoid touching or moving a burning candle.
- Stop burning a candle when there's 1/2 inch of wax left in the vessel to prevent any issues.
- When burning multiple candles, ensure they are at least three inches apart to avoid melting or creating drafts.
- If the flame is too high or flickers repeatedly, extinguish the candle. Before relighting, let it cool and ensure wick is trimmed to recommended length
- Never burn a candle near flammable items like furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, or paper.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
When Extinguishing:
- If available use snuffer to suffocate flame for about 8 seconds. Wipe wax from snuffer once cooled.
- Avoid using water to put out a candle, as this can cause hot wax to splatter and potentially break a glass container.
- Before leaving the room, ensure the candle is completely extinguished with no glowing ember from the wick.
- Do not touch or move the candle until it has fully cooled.
